With having been born and raised here in Kentucky, I grew a passion for horses at a young age which resulted in my love for the Kentucky Derby. Chris and I love to attend the Derby as much as we can, and we always make sure to enjoy their signature drinks while there. I mean, who doesn’t love a Mint Julep and Pink Lily cocktail!? I knew I wanted to share my spin on the Pink Lily masterpiece with all my family and friends especially during Derby season. So here is a simple yet delicious cocktail recipe that you truly can enjoy year round!
Ingredients Used:
1 oz Sweet & Sour Mix
1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz Vodka (I prefer Tito’s but you can use any brand.)
3 oz Cranberry Juice
Lemon Wedges
Blackberries
To make this delicious Pink Lily cocktail, follow these simple steps:
1: Fill a cocktail shaker about 1/4 of the way full with ice cubes. Pour in your Sweet & Sour Mix, Triple Sec, Vodka and cranberry juice. Shake for about 20 seconds making sure to mix all the ingredients together.
2: Grab a glass such as this, and fill it with a couple of ice cubes. Pour in your drink mix, and garnish with a lemon wedge and blackberry. For an extra touch, you can toss some blackberries into the drink itself which is a fun addition!
Us Kentuckians go all out for Derby, and you can bring a touch of it to your home as well with this Pink Lily cocktail. I promise you will love it just as much as I do! Make sure to tag me if you give this drink recipe a try, and tag me in all your Derby fun photos. Have fun celebrating friends!
