I don’t know about you, but I love it when I see a cheese ball on a charcuterie board or on a snack table at a party. Flavorful and easy to make, they are a great crowd-pleaser. I wanted to put a holiday spin on this classic and transformed mine into an ornament. Only four steps and it’s sure to be a hit!
Ingredients Needed:
1/2 cup bacon bits
1-2 cups pomegranate arils
1 tbsp minced onion
1/2 tbsp garlic salt
1 Rollo candy
1 rosemary sprig crackers for serving
1/2 cup shredded cheese (Use whatever flavor cheese you like!)
1-8 oz package cream cheese, softened
To make this fun ornament cheese ball, follow the simple steps below:
1: In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, bacon bits, minced onion, garlic salt & shredded cheese.
2: Once everything is well mixed, form your mixture into a ball shape. Then gently roll the ball in the pomegranate arils making to sure to coat all sides of your cheese ball.
3: Add the wrapped Rollo on top as well as the rosemary to make the “ornament” complete. For an added fun touch, throw on a ribbon as well!
4: Chill and serve.
Bring this to your next Christmas party or even give them as a gift. Tag me in your ornament cheese ball creations as I would love to see your variations on them. Enjoy!
