We’ve been working so hard on the house over the last few weeks. We are running into even more delays with companies and trying to get everything finalized that we can. The house is finally under roof, bricked and installation and walls are built. We are now just waiting on the cabinets to be completed in the next few weeks and the flooring to arrive. I’m hoping that we can start giving more weekly updates and to see it really come together. We broke ground in August of 2020 with intentions of living there already but due to the pandemic and a supply shortage, everything just keeps getting pushed back. The goal is to be in by the end of the year and I really hope that happens for us.
Here’s some of the updates from the past few weeks!
We took the kids by last Sunday to check out paint colors and to see all of the updates. They absolutely love playing on the land and seeing their future rooms. I’m so ready to make this our home.
One thing we have to decide on pretty soon is the color of paint we will go with for the outside brick on the house. These are the 5 options painted on the outside right now for us to choose from.
Sherwin Williams Origami white 7636
Sherwin Williams CIty Loft 7631
Pearly White sw 7009
Sanctuary sw 9583
Benjamin Moore Cloud Cover
The fireplace inserts were put in over the last few weeks. I’m so glad that we decided to go with a black insert in the main fireplace. We are just waiting on the custom-built mantle to arrive. It’s one of the items that have been taking longer than normal with the delays. Here’s the inspiration photo for the mantle below!
They also delivered the tile this week too. We are hoping that it starts going in really soon. The cabinets are set to be completed in about 3 more weeks and once those are installed then the hardwood can go down too. So ready for all of this to come to life over the next few months.
Be sure to tune in to my Instagram stories over the next few months to see more of the changes. We don’t have a house meeting this week but after Labor day we will finalize furniture and paint colors and tie up loose ends on the design side of things.
Talk soon!! Xoxo- Tori
