30 A Part 2

My Life, Travel, Uncategorized

the blog:

Our family made our 2nd trip to Santa Rosa, Florida (30a Area) just a few weeks ago. We stayed in Watercolor again since we LOVE the community but did venture to Seaside quite a bit and even to Alys Beach for family photos. The kids HATE family photos so when I got the photos back from our photographer, I was so surprised because they turned out so good. You can’t even tell that Jackson and Rylee were complaining the whole time. You can tell that Reese was upset in a few but those are the funniest ones. Here’s a glimpse of some of the photos below.

I LOVE these so much and can’t wait until I can blow them up at our new home soon.

Here’s a recap of what we did during our trip. It was a much more low-key time but we all enjoyed it and the weather was fantastic.

The first few days, we stayed with close friends that have kids that are about the same ages as Jackson, Rylee and Reese. The kids all played together at the beach for hours. It’s great going with friends and having other kids to play with. The beaches in this area are white, sandy beaches and the water is a beautiful emerald color. It’s one of my favorite beaches in the world.

If you rent a house in Watercolor then you get full access to all of the amenities which is quite a bit. We rented our house through 360 Blue. The amenities include beach access, access to the pools at Watercolor inn which also includes an adult-only pool, access to Camp Watercolor which is a baby pool, a regular pool with a slide and lazy river, access to walking trails and bike paths, gym, tennis courts and more. It’s also such a different beach experience. You aren’t on the beach which I know so many people prefer but you are just a quick walk or bike ride away. The area is quiet and perfect for families. We absolutely LOVE this area.

A few of the dinners we just cooked in but we also enjoy eating out during vacations. Our favorite restaurants in this area are The Wine Bar, FOOW , Bud and Alley’s, Old Florida Fish House, and then all of the food trucks in the Seaside Square. The square is so much fun for the kids too. During the summer, they have movie nights and live music. We made our way up there several different nights to play.

Again, This trip was very low-key filled with beach days and tons of memories. We didn’t have much on the agenda and that was ok with us. You can find more out 30A and watercolor in Part 1 of my blog here!
