You all know how much I love a good sangria recipe, and I have found the perfect one for the upcoming Christmas Holiday! It’s easy to make, packed full of flavor and makes for a great addition to any Holiday spread. My mom and sisters loved it so much at our Thanksgiving gathering that we have added it to our Christmas “must haves” too. It’s THAT good!
Ingredients Used:
3 Cups Pomegranate Juice
1 Cup Apple Juice
2 Cups Cranberry Juice
3 Cups Red Wine
1 Apple
1 Orange
Fresh Cranberries
3 Cinnamon Sticks
4 Star Anise
Follow these simple steps to make this festive Holiday drink:
1: Grab your favorite pitcher such as this one HERE and pour in the pomegranate juice. You then want to add in the cranberry juice, apple juice and the red wine. Fun tip: you can make the sangria without the wine for anyone who doesn’t drink alcohol but wants to enjoy a festive drink!
2: Add in the fresh cranberries, orange slices and apple chunks. You could slice the apple instead if you prefer, but I found it easier to make it into chunks.
3: Throw in the cinnamon sticks as well as the star anise and stir everything together. Fun tip: if you’re really wanting a stronger spice flavor of the star anise and cinnamon, I would recommend adding those two spices and the juices together a couple hours before you host your gathering to let the flavors truly mix. Then you can add in the fresh fruit right before you serve your family or friends.
4: Grab a wine GLASS, pour in the sangria recipe and enjoy!
I promise you will love this recipe as much as I do! It will be another one to add to your “recipes to keep” list whether you’re hosting a festive Holiday gathering or having friends over for game night. I’d love for you all to tag me if you give this recipe a try. Cheers friends!
