With the colder weather outside, I wanted to do a spin on your typical Hot Chocolate drink which I think you are going to love! A tradition we always partake in is family movie night where the kids enjoy drinking hot chocolate snuggled up watching a Christmas movie while Chris and I enjoy a nice cup of warm coffee beside them. However, I wanted to try something new and decided to put a spin on the Hot Chocolate for us adults only which turned out delicious. You’ve got to give it a try!

Ingredients:

3/4 Cup of Hot Chocolate (We love the convenience of using Swiss Miss packets. Easy to prepare and clean up)

1 oz of RumChata

1/4 Cup of Cool Whip (You can use Whipped Cream in place of this if you prefer it instead.)

Chocolate Shavings

To make the RumChata Hot Chocolate, follow these simple steps:

1: Prepare the hot chocolate just as the package states. Once you have it hot and ready to go, add 3/4 cup into a glass such as THIS.

2: Using a JIGGER, add in the RumChata and stir the two together with a straw or spoon.

3: Add your Cool Whip or Whipped Cream on top and then sprinkle on the chocolate shavings. Time to enjoy!

You could also make this drink recipe kid friendly by simply removing the RumChata. My kids think it’s a special treat when throwing on some Whipped Cream and “chocolate sprinkles” as they call it.
